[HWC1006] SimpleFix 2 Strap Seismic Cylinder Restraint Kit (SimKit 2)

The SimpleFix 2 Strap Seismic Cylinder Restraint Kit provides earthquake protection and security for hot water cylinders and water storage vessels, designed and checked by Registered Engineers in accordance with seismic design code NZS 1170.5:2004.

The kit consists of 4 metres of perforated galvanised steel strap, along with all mounting brackets, bolts, screws, and tensioning devices required to complete a 2-strap installation. This kit is engineered for water storage vessels up to 700 litre capacity, and complies with Documents B1 and B2 prepared by the Department of Building and Housing, in accordance with Section 22 of the Building Act 2005.

This kit is suitable for internal applications only, and covers hot water cylinders of 200 litres or less. BRANZ Appraised (Appraisal No. 761, 2023), all components must be used together for code compliance, and an information sheet is enclosed for council requirements where needed.
