The SimpleFix Seismic Cylinder Restraint Kit 304 Stainless (3 Strap Kit) provides earthquake protection and security for hot water cylinders and water storage vessels, designed and checked by Registered Engineers in accordance with seismic design code NZS 1170.5:2004.

The kit consists of 6 metres of perforated Grade 304 stainless steel strap, along with all mounting brackets, bolts, screws, and tensioning devices required to complete a 3-strap installation. Suitable for both interior and exterior environments, this kit is engineered for water storage vessels up to 700 litre capacity, and complies with Documents B1 and B2 prepared by the Department of Building and Housing, in accordance with Section 22 of the Building Act 2005.

BRANZ Appraised (Appraisal No. 761, 2023), this kit is fit for purpose and complies with the New Zealand Building Code when used, designed, installed, and maintained as set out in the Appraisal. All components must be used together for code compliance, and an information sheet is enclosed for council requirements where needed.
