Red Priming Fluid

The Red Priming Fluid is a solvent-based product specifically formulated to clean and prime PVC-U pipe and fittings before applying PVC pipe cement, helping ensure a stronger, more secure, and durable bond. The 250g size is supplied by Plumma, while the 500g and 5L sizes are supplied by Soudal under their Pureseal range.

Applied to the inner surfaces of PVC pipes and outer surfaces of fittings, this priming fluid softens and cleans the PVC ahead of cementing, removing contaminants and improving adhesion for both non-pressure and pressure applications. Its red colour makes it easy for installers to see where the fluid has been applied, helping ensure full, even coverage before cementing.

AS/NZS 3879 approved and suitable for contact with drinking water under AS/NZS 4020, this priming fluid is suitable for use ahead of both Type N (non-pressure) and Type P (pressure) PVC pipe cements.
